Clawfoot Tub Soap Dish - Shower Enclosure Riser Mounted - Randolph Morris
Be careful when installing
The screw anchoring the dish to the riser is too long. When the screw tip meets the riser, the head and a substantial portion of the threads extend from the collar (i.e., when installed, the collar and screw will appear as they do in the product photo).
As a result, users have a tendency to over-tighten the screw, either stripping the screw threads, or in my case, stripping the threads inside the collar, requiring replacement of the entire unit, or the installation of a rubber band under the collar to create an improved, rotating unit.
Ideally, the head of the screw should reach the collar just after the tip of the screw engages the riser. Also, higher quality metal couldn't hurt.

I was worried that this might be a thin, cheap chrome basket . I ordered it knowing I could return so I thought I would risk it. I was more that happy with the quality of the chrome. It looks like it will stay looking great for a good number of years . I feel I have my money well spent with this.

Beautiful colour and solid piece. Able to hold 2 thin shampoo bottles easily. Soap holder is very small--will cut my soap in half to fit. Overall looks great and works well. Clawfoot showering is less challenging with this device!

vintage soap holder
Love the product...works as I had hoped. Will purchase another one when I convert my downstairs apartment clawfoot tub to house a hanging shower unit like I did upstairs. Well made and attractive.

tub soap dish
The salesguy caught me on a good day, or I never would have purchased what I see as an expensive soap dish, but I have been very happy with it. I give it only 4 stars because it is a bit expensive for what it is. I've had it only a few months, so I can't say how it will stand up over time.

Good, but a little small
Works well, looks good, but was smaller than I expected. If both the main tray and the soap holder tray were both slightly larger, it would be a little more functional. Big enough for two small to medium sized bottles of shampoo and one bar of soap. Two large shampoo bottles would probably not fit. If I was to buy another one, I would try to find something just a few inches bigger. Also, it was a little expensive for such a small unit - again, something a little bigger would have justified the price, but this was smaller than I expected for the money I paid.

I needed to disconnect the pipe that goes to shower to install this over the water line.

Fun and Functional
We love our soap dish. It has a very vintage look and feel with two separate soap storage holders.
