Champion Slow Close Elongated Toilet
Received the product in perfect shape.
It works perfectly and was simple to install.
The only dissatisfaction is with Vintage.
It took over 4 wks to receive it, and customer support was very inefficient,
provided wrong information and really did not seam to care about customer satisfaction.

Don't drop the lid--no longer a problem
I ordered this soft or slow close lid hoping it would work with our Cadet III water sense American Standard 1.2 gallon flush toilet. Oh, it fit, and it worked, and it performed just as they said it would.
I give it a 5 on performance.
However, I'd really like for it to have a little more substantial seat to go with that great lid. It sometimes feel I'm sitting on the cold porcelain of the john itself, which is sort of disconcerting. It features a sanitary finish, so germs are supposed to be dead on arrival, which is another great feature of anything to do with a toilet.
Yes, I'd recommend this seat for anyone with the Cadet III unless they were looking for a highly stylish seat that looked great, like in a guest lavatory. I'm sorry to say that it has a bit of a cookie cutter look to it, stamped out of plastic, and not an upscale product at all.
So depending on whether you want fancy or functional, this comes recommended for functional.
It does not slam down on the occasions when dear hubby goes to the john in the dark, either the seat or the lid both close soft and smooth.
I'm glad I chose to buy it from Vintage Tub, since I found more information available to make my choice reading product descriptions here than at the local big box store that sells them too.

Order with Confidence
This is this is the second time I have ordered from Vintage Tub & Bath for items to be delivered to Canada.
Both times have been a welcome experience. The first time the item was out-of-stock and since this was my first time ordering from this company, i was somewhat anxious as to receiving my order. However the communication with the company was excellent, with emails keeping me informed as to my order status, and items arrived, albeit , late.
The second time I ordered, the item arrived so fast, that I can honestly say, you will have no problems dealing with Vintage Tub & Bath. Ohh...and the toilet seat is exactly as ordered.

Slow close toilet seat
I bought the American Standard Champion slow close elongated toilet seat.
Function is great and makes it easy to keep the women happy with the seat down.
The plastic is a bit flimsy and definetly not as sturdy as an epoxy covered wooden seat.
I did not know that the American Standard seat was made by Bemis.
I found out when it came and it stated right on the box that it was made by Bemis.
I could have saved 25% if I knew and would have just bought the exact same seat with the Bemis name.
The box was damaged in shipment.
It should have been packed inside another carton for added protection.
Don't wast money just buy the Bemis-you'll get the exact same item for less $$.
