Tub Faucet Buying Guide

Vintage Tub & Bath offers eight different tub faucets: gooseneck wall-mounted, handshower tub wall-mounted, deck-mounted, traditional tub wall-mounted, free standing, handshower deck-mounted, bathroom wall-mounted and roman deck-mounted. Below you will find a description of each kind of tub faucet.

Gooseneck Wall-mounted

This Gooseneck style faucet features a high spout ranging in height from as low as 6 7/8" to 12" tall. We offer you a variety of handle styles to suit your design ideas. These specific wall-mounted gooseneck faucets mount to the wall of your tub usually on 3 3/8" centers. Traditional Wall-mounted

Traditional wall-mounted tub faucets mount to the wall of your tub on 3 3/8" centers. The main characteristic of these faucets are that they have a spout that points downward. This faucet can not be converted to a Hand Shower or Shower Set because it does not have an inlet for the conversion. If you want to consider a similar style with a Hand Shower check out this model.

Handshower Wall-mounted

This Handshower Wall-mounted faucet is available in three different styles: English Telephone, Gooseneck, and Traditional Tub Wall and come with a handshower and hose. We offer you a variety of handle styles to suit your design ideas. These specific wall-mounted gooseneck faucets mount to the wall of your tub usually on 3 3/8" centers. Deck-mounted

Deck mounted faucets are mounted to the rim of your tub. There are generally two holes drilled on the rim of the tub. Each deck mounted faucet fits a specific drilling measurement. For example, from the center of one hole to the other could measure 3 3/8", 7" or 8".

If your drilling are not these exact numbers you will need to purchase a faucet that has variable centers (click here to view application). Faucets with variable centers have swing arms that allow you to adjust according to your existing drillings. You will need to measure the drillings on the rim of your tub from center to center to know which faucet to purchase.

Handshower Deck-mounted

Handshower deck-mounted faucets are mounted to the rim of your tub. There are generally two holes drilled on the rim of the tub. Each deck mounted faucet fits a specific drilling measurement. For example, from the center of one hole to the other could measure 3 3/8", 7" or 8".

Free Standing

If your tub does not have any faucet holes, choose one of our free standing faucets. These faucets are mounted onto freestanding supply lines that are manufactured to support the weight of your faucet. You can order a bracket which will brace your supply lines to your drain.

We offer these faucets with the matching supply lines. The rough-in of the supply lines will depend on the distance from the center of the hot and cold handles on your faucet.

Bathroom Wall-mounted

If your tub does not have any faucet holes, choose one of our bathroom wall mounted faucets. These faucets are mounted onto the wall of your bathroom. They are offered in all different faucet styles and are available in many handle and finish options.

Roman Deck-mounted

Roman tub faucets are mounted to the rim of your tub. These faucets require three holes drilled on the rim of the tub. Possibly four hole drilling if you would like a handshower.
