Good Product with great customer service. Client changed finish color mid project and we were able to return the original and purchase another in different finish with no problem.

Finally--a coordinating strainer in Antique Brass!
Having searched high and low for years, Finally--a coordinting garbage disposal strainer in Antique Brass! This was always the missing link in our remodels..... wonderful quality and finish too! Thanks Vintage Tub and Bath!

Installing this strainer in a farmhouse sink
If you are using a standard insinkerator as the garbage disposal then you will need (3) 5/16"-18 x 1 3/4" all thread allen or slotted head studs (basically a really long set screw). This strainer basket is a little bit deeper than the "standards" out there so the screw that you might have for an existing disposal will not work as it is not long enough to apply pressure between the upper collar and the lower collar.

Expensive flange
Ordered this for installation in a new Farmhouse Fireclay apron sink after reading that a regular depth disposal flange might not be deep enough to allow for solid connection of the disposal. Didn't like the $100+ price, but it went right in and made the $70/hr plumber happy, so I guess that works out.
A side benefit is that the extra depth allows the stopper/strainer to remain installed in the open (drain) position. The strainer looks nice and has a more traditional appearance with the farmhouse sink than the rubber disposal flap alone.

Expensive but looks great; hard to find on website
I only learned i needed this strainer after the plumber told me the one that is pictured as a required assessory to the Whitehaus apron sink did not work for a garbage disposal. I called, and a rep. helped me find the correct part (which is burried somewhere else on the site and not linked to the sink, so how you are supposed to find it is anyone's guess, but it is apparently the ONLY ONE that will fit this particular sink as the bottom is too thick for a standard collar.) I guess it shows that i was fairly irritated at the delay and extra trip (and charge) from the plumber but they shipped promptly and refunded the money for the other collar I purchased, so overall I'm happy. I was slightly concerned that this type of sink would not take a standard disposal easily but it fit one i purchased from lowes with no problems once we had the correct part. Others on this site said they had used less expensive parts from the disposal manufacturer but in the end I decided that the cost of the sink was enough not to risk using a part not specifically designed for it, and the brushed nickel finish looks great with my stainless faucet.
