I received this with my other order, the plumber opened the box and the cast iron mounting system had a huge dent in it. I called them and they sent a replacement straight away as it could not be mounted due to the dent. The shower head itself wobbled for a few weeks and then fell off the bracket and almost hit me in the head. The inside had a large dent as well. Appears they had sent us an overhauled item made up of faulty parts. Piece of junk. I went to lowes and got a new head.

shower kit
the main valve must have a water pressure reducer in it as the rest of my new bath has lots of pressure, and this unit ..... not so much, I installed a wand, the shower head and originally 2 body sprays, but I removed one body spray as there was not enough pressure after going through the main valve to run the shower and 2 body sprays.
Oh .. I also installed a 6 way diverter as this unit doesn't have that function
.............. BUt it looks nice.

Looks great
This set gives the perfect old timey look to my bathroom. I wanted to take my 1980's shower back to the 1920's and this shower kit made it happen. Be careful putting a wrench to it though as the dark finish might be scratched.

Nice product..
Great shower head, love the rainforest. Installation was very straight forward - although it would have been easier if the product description had been specific about the inclusion of the mixing valve (we thought it was only the controller) as it didn't fix the fixing valve we had and we had to reopen the wall to install it. However it would have been very easy if we'd simply waited for the shower to arrive before we closed up the wall.
The performance of the shower itself is fabulous.

Belle Forest Pressure Balance Shower Unit
It looks great in my vintage bathroom. The balance system really works.... no more freezing showers when someone turns on the water in the kitchen.

bella forte shower
We had to gut this room out because of plumbing issues and uneven floors in our 145 year old home. This allowed us to make all the height adjustment we needed to make this work around the telephone faucet and the shower curtain ring. My husband is tall so when we remodel our masterbath he will fit under this shower head comfortably. I personlly love the way this looks right down to the little belle forte logo. It is just pretty.
My contractor told me that he thought this piece was very nice. I have worked with him enough to know that he likes to stick with brands he is familiar with because of quality and installation issues, but this piece was the best suited for blending with the other fixtures chosen. The only difficulty he had was on how to set the hot and cold flow to the head. He eventually found the setting on the back somewhere. I have not used the shower yet because I need to paint the trim first. He did warn me that adjusting the temp is a bit different then normal. If my contractor is impressed with the quaility of belle forte, anyone will be.
