This tub is much better than anything I found in a showroom - and I checked many showrooms. It is of much higher quality, with a much more lovely, flowing design. The showroom tubs were not elegant and often looked cheap. This tub is elegant, quite beautiful, and very comfortable. It's long enough to easily accomodate a 6' 2" person.
It is quite heavy (over 300 pounds) and the Vintage Tub people won't carry it into your house, so you do need to make arrangements to get it into your bathroom. Make sure that your hallways, doorways, and turns are wide enough. I used a moving company to carry mine, and the three men carrying it had quite a challenge on a few corners where they had to stand it on its end. The Vintage Tub delivery man will deliver to your garage or curbside.

I love my tub!
This tub is the highlight of my bathroom. It looks beautiful and it is a pleasure to use.

Slipper - 67 with custom color
The main feature of this tub, which we were concerned with, was the custom exterior color. We requested that it be gloss black, so it would match a Kohler toilet. We were very pleased with the result.
Installation of the tub, the faucet and drain hardware was relatively easy.
After the installation, we did notice that the backside of the tub had a tendency to slide on the tile that it was sitting on, if it was leaned on. We remedied this problem by applying a bead of clear silicon behind the tub feet and the porcelain coasters to keep it from moving.

Fabulous Tub
It just arrived and is beautiful! I've looked at and used a variety of tubs from acrylic with jets, to the old clawfoot. When the time came to remodel I chose the old clawfoot slipper style. I initially considered going with a used vintage tub but decided against it because of size issues- too small length wise.
The acrylics come in a variety of sizes and styles, however they do scratch easily and do not hold the heat as well.
So this lead me to a new claw foot. After visiting a few show rooms I noticed chips on the edge in the porcelain finished on one popular model. Someone suggested the Sunrise tub at Vintage tubs.
I have yet to bathe in this tub but it sits quite well and has a smooth almost porcelain finish on the outside. I will update after I install! Oh by the way the customer service was great-thanks Matt!
