Stunning farmhouse The RM fire clay farmhouse sink is absolutely beautiful. Clean lines compliment our classic meets rustic design. The 36 in width fits perfectly in our 8ft island.  October 30, 2012
Love the sink, be careful of granite install My husband and I are in the middle of major home construction and looked long and hard for the right farm sink. This company was very nice to work with and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sink. Could not be happier with the product. I am a MAJOR cook in the kitchen and this sink has changed my life! I can fit huge baking dishes on one side to soak while the other side is free to wash veggies or other dishes. We joke that we could fit our kids in it. (ages 6 and 11). We were very concerned that with us using lots of cast iron and metal cookware that the sink would scratch or be hard to keep clean. NOT A PROBLEM! This sink is so shiny I just use soap and water. I think the problem with porceline sinks like we had before is that previous home owners just scrubbed the heck out of it and took off the finish. Not necessary with this sink. Easy peasy. Words of caution however if you are installing it with granite. I wanted the granite to go on top of the sink so as to "undermount" the sink. That way when I wipe counters off it would just swoosh right into the sink without a fuss. The front still shows and works nicely. HOWEVER.... the way the sink is constructed it is reversable. Fair enough. All four sides are equal. On the top of all four sides there is a very slight gradual dip that at the very center is 3/16 of an inch shorter than all four corners of the sink. WIth that said, when you mount this UNDER granite (not beside the granite) but under, you will have a 3/16th of an inch gap in the three sides that are attached- the gap is just in the center. We are having to re-install the sink. If we don't do this or something similar we will continue to have a blob of caulk as an issue in those areas. We are toying with using a diamond file to grind the corners down 3/16th so that the entire three sides that need to affix to the granite will all be even. Taking a file to this sink is making me a bit nervous so our contractor is giving it some thought. April 24, 2012
Nice sink - but drains poorly Looks really great - works "meh". (classic Italian goods.) Nice sink. Heavy. Thick. But - it DOES NOT DRAIN WELL. There is not enough slope on the basin floor to direct the water toward the drain with any speed . You will find yourself having to use your sprayer attachment to rinse any food particles etc. down towards the drain end of the sink every time. Looks like a (now) permanent, if minor, frustration for us. Consider this before purchasing. March 20, 2012
