Great for DIY
Purchased this tub as part of my master bath remodel. Overall I am very happy with the tub and my wife LOVES it.
+ Acrylic = Light - makes installation much easier. Previously installed a cast iron tub and this one was a lot easier to get upstairs and install
+ Looks great - both acrylic and the brushed nickel finish
+ Very comfortable - back of tub at perfect angle. Wife was going to get a bath pillow, but happy as-is
+ Acrylic also warms up (and stays warm) better than cast iron
+ faucet very solid with a high end look and feel
+ we get a lot of rave reviews on the tub
No so good:
- Feet attach well, but easily shift so where they squeak when you get in
- With the lighter weight, it does move if you push or lean on it - not as solid as cast iron
- Plumbing required "moderate" plumbing skills. A competent DIYer can do it, but the instructions are very poor. You have to rely a bit on past experience and common sense.
- Poor packaging for delivery. Box way completely smashed. Vintage tub warns you to be very careful on delivery, but they packaged with flimsy material. No damage to my tub, but there very easily could have been. Inspect VERY closely on delivery!!
Overall I would definitely recommend this tub package for either DIY or a pro install.

My wife has wanted a clawfoot tub for years so we decided to have one installed to replace the jetted tub during our remodel. We did a lot of research online and with local retailers before choosing a slipper tub from Vintage Tub and Bath. The deciding factors were the positive customer reviews, price, and availability. The tub, faucets, supply lines & associated hardware were delivered on time, complete, and in excellent condition. The installation was done by our contractor and it looks great. We went with the acrylic tub because of the weight difference. The bathroom is upstairs and moving a 400 pound cast iron tub up those stairs would have been a major problem. The acrylic tub was easy to move and, after three weeks, my wife says is fantastic.
We got a good product for a good price with free on-time delivery and great service.

I was impressed with the entire process. I have never made an online purchase of this size before. The sales personnel were very friendly, re-assuring, and very knowledgeable. The tub arrived as promised, with a reputable freight company, and in excellent condition. My plumber was equally impressed with the quality of materials. The only negative in my opinion is the quality of the feet. But the tub, faucet, valves, and lines more than make up for this. It is true, you get what you pay for, but in my opinion, Vintage Tub & Bath exceeded my expectations. Hope to have photos soon. JD
