Squeaky and light
Before I ordered this tub, I checked the specifications for the tub's weight. Many other tubs were very light but this one said it weighed 112 lbs. This was important to us as we did not want a really light tub that would move around easily. Unfortunately, when it was delivered we were disappointed to discover that it is not even close to the weight listed in the online specs. I can easily pick the tub up by myself (I weigh 113 lbs). Twice we have bumped the tub which then dislodged the water supply lines, creating a mess. In addition, the tub squeaks when someone gets in it. It sounds like a cheap plastic tub. We live in a remote area and needed a tub quickly as there was no tub or shower when we bought the house. I would have returned it otherwise. But it does look nice.

The tub was in great condition, no shipping damage at all and the brush nickle feet and facuet are outstanding. However, the width of the tub is much more narrower that I expected. It appears that one side of the tub is bowed in more then the other side. Its pretty and nice but I would go for a larger tub next time.

Great Tub & Cust Serv but do your homework
First of all let me just say that the people at Vintage are a joy to work with. I was looking for something very specific and so had a lot of questions upfront about what to order and how to put my order together and Deanne was very great at answering all my questions and getting back with me in a timely manner. Our tub gets rave reviews from all our friends and family who have seen our remodel and my daugher loves it! Everthing arrived in good condition and the quality is great. We did encounter an issue with the shower conversion kit that we ordered to go with the tub in that we didn't want to drill into our tiled wall for the supports to the water supply lines so we ordered the free-standing bracket kit. This kit didn't even come close to fitting. We called customer support and Leann was also great to work with but it did take some explaining and several calls before a kit was sent that fit. In addition we discovered that without the wall supports the free-standing kit does not support the shower conversion kit which was a little frustrating in that I thought we had spent a lot of time up front making sure I would be gettting what I wanted. But here is where Vinatage customer service gets a gold store. Upon telling Leanne about this she automatically offerred us the option to return the shower conversion kit at their expense. We utlimately decided to keep the shower as an option if we ever decide that we are ok with drilling into our tile for the extra support but for now the bath works great and I would recommend Vintage for their products and the great people!
