Porcher Sonnet Don't Purchase!!!! I purchased a Porcher Sonnet Large Console. It was very expensive. Several problems: 1. Sink is not square from rear to counter (off by 3/4 inch). This causes the sink to rise off front legs when secured to walls. If the sink is left level on the legs then there is a large gap between the sink and the wall. (see picture) 2. Legs are not all the same size. 3. Legs float in the socket when installed and are not very secured. 4. no cut sheet or installation instructions. they had to be downloaded. 5. Small flaws in enamel. I returned this sink and the second one has the same problem. (6 weeks from first order) . Porcher is distributed by american Standard. I called the company and they indicated that there was poor quality control on a run of these sinks. The replacement sink has different date of manufacture but still same problem. Stay away!!! I did not purchase this from vintage bath and tub, I have used them in the past with no problems. This is a mafacturing problem. Mike March 11, 2011
Sonnet Large Console Thank you for the beautiful product!! It looks great!! October 13, 2009
Love this wall mounted sink with legs! I overcame my hesitancy after reading the poor review here and ordered this sink. It's a beauty! I asked for opinions in the Garden Web's bathroom forum and received plenty of assurances from Porcher sink owners who affirmed Porcher sinks are high quality and the company stands behind their products. The Sonnet Porcher Large Console sink is a wall mounted sink, so make sure you study the installation specs before you order to ensure a successful installation. We prepared the supports for this sink before we put up the drywall because it will not stand on it's legs alone as it would be too wobbly. Installation was uneventful but make sure you have three people to help. I love, love, love my large beauty and am glad I didn't listen to the only review here. July 27, 2009
Beautiful Scratched Sink It would be a beautiful piece if I would have gotten one that was not scratched. Five console sinks ALL with scratches or manufacturer defects. This makes this product from this manufacturer 100% flawed. We only accepted the one we have because the long scratch will be hidden by a wall. August 17, 2008
New home builder The drain opening for the sink was not centered all the way through the porcelain which forced the drain stopper to sit at a slight angle. All the connections under the sink are exposed and sit at an angle as a result. July 30, 2008
