Better, even, than I expected
This item arrived exactly as described and is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked at how heavy they were - my contractor was really impressed with the ease of installation and high quality of them.
I've been using them now for a few weeks and am very pleased - very easy to operate and stunning. :) I did not choose to install the showerhead (I prefer a hand shower), so I cannot speak to that part of the set, however.

This hardware is beautiful
We had to replace the hardware and workings of a 1949-50 bathroom tub-shower. This set is expensive but it is just fantastic looking. Price is the only negative of this set and I'm just a cheap person. After thinking about it for a few days, we decided we would be looking at this every day and I did not want something less than perfect. It looks much better installed than it looked in the pictures online. It looks like it was installed in 1950 --which the look we wanted. Works great!

Showroom quality!
As a contractor, I have installed a lot of shower sets -- mostly, stock fixtures from the Home Cheapo with plastic parts and knobs that wobble when you turn them. That's the kind of quality you get for a hundred or even two hundred bucks. So when I decided to remodel my own vintage bathroom, I scoured the internet and found this charming, old-fashioned three-handle cross set. Well, I have never seen a more beautiful faucet anywhere. You won't believe how heavy the all-metal showerhead is, and the chrome finish is mirror-perfect. The valves are solid brass -- no plastic parts anywhere! Although this set may seem pricy, what you get is a top-quality shower set that will last a lifetime. Installation-wise, it's a little tricky -- it does not come with any instructions, and there is no easy way to mount the valves, so measure carefully!

Missippi Metal Cross Shower Set
Looks great in our vintage bathroom and works well. The pieces have heft and are real metal not plastic like some handles.

Excellent!
I love this shower! It looks beautiful and works great. The nickel finish is warm and goes well with my 1920s bathroom. One thing to be aware of is that the nooks and crannies make this sometimes hard to clean, but it's worth it. I was a little wary of ordering it because I couldn't tell anything about the shower head from the description. It's actually well constructed and very beautiful, and also the water flow is quite nice. It's not adjustable, but it gives a nice even shower that is a delight to wake up to. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Lovely item
This was a very hgh qualty set; it looks like it is starting out from a higher level than the other (antique) handles in the bathroom!
