Randolph Morris 66 Inch Cast Iron Double Ended Clawfoot Tub No Drillings 4.6 5 7 7
After a year, very satisfied We renovated our master bathroom about 15 months ago now and I did a lot of research on cast iron claw foot tubs before we purchased this one. I was honestly nervous about purchasing a tub without seeing it first in person, and worried if this deal was too good to be true. However, after regular use for the past 15 months, I am extremely happy with it. It's hard to beat cast iron for baths. We haven't upgraded our water heater yet, so this tub empties the current 40 galllon water heater, but then the tub itself maintains the temperature for a good 30 minutes. The porcelain has an even coating and is nice and smooth and shiny and it cleans up beautifully. The overall ordering process was very smooth, as was delivery. Definitely invest in the white glove delivery service -- it is so worth it as this tub is around 500 pounds empty and very bulky to manuever. The only hiccup was there was a miscommunication about the fact that the tub would have to be taken up one half-flight of stairs (4 stairs total). I had provided that information when I ordered and it slipped through the cracks at some point before the actual delivery. Going up stairs apparently requires a 3 man team instead of a 2 man team, but my husband helped them out and everything was fine. May 22, 2012
Comfy Tub! The only difficulty with installation was moving a cast iron tub to a second floor bath. Once there, it was simple enough to install. Very comfortable to bathe in.... October 17, 2009
Too Much This is a beautiful bathtub but I'm afraid I bought a size too big for my body. It's also a bit narrow and hard on the elbows while reading. Not having the option to try it out in person, it's hard to know these things before ordering. The downfall is that the interior surface it is so slick that I slide down and my feet don't reach the end of the tub to help keep me propped up. However, I found a wonderful bath pillow that is the full length of my back and it works perfectly to keep me in place. My recommendation is to make sure and purchase the right size (not sure if there is a sizing guideline available?) and not longer unless you plan on sharing it often. October 15, 2009
66" Randolph Morris tub This tub is an excellent value, ordering and delivery was easy and the product and pricing are great! October 6, 2009
A Dream Come True! This bath tub is a dream come true to a real "Bath tub Diva"! I remember a tub like this when I was growing up and I never thought I would own one. This one is so-o-o-o beautiful...I chose the white cast iron with crome feet. We are remodeling our home around this tub. It was the first item I ordered when we started the redo. I was concerned about the condition it would arrive in since it began it's trip in Nevada and traveled to North Carolina, but I should not have been worried because it was just fine. Thank you, Vintage Tub and Bath for helping my dream come true! I will truly feel like a "Diva" in my bath tub full of bubbles!! May 13, 2009
The Tub in a box Well to tell you the truth I haven't installed the tub yet. The pool bath that it is to be installed in is not finished yet. I have only taken the top off the crate. It looks nice. August 20, 2008
Comfort and Style Beautiful old world style tub with elegance you can't get anywhere else. It has been one of the stand out features in the French Manor style home I built, and has the neighbors wanting to keep up. I like it for the simple beauty and uncompromising quality it brings to the home, but my wife loves it for its simple comfort. You can't beat a long, hot soak after a grueling, stressful day.
