what a piece of garbage. ths shower riser is so poorly designed, i just paid a plumber $800 to install it, it takes forever, and he threads are SO badly machined on the shower parts that you cannot get it to not leak. plus the only way to try to tighten it is to destroy the riser w/ the plumber's wrench. it is so soft it crushed, and the finish is destroyed. i never have encountered anything so poorly designed and manufactured. the shower riser could be one piece, eliminating this problem, but it is made in taiwan for a buck, then sold for $300 and it is just a piece of junk. i am SO disappointed and frustrated, and now out so much money that i just need to live with the dripping forever. spend more money and get something good.

Love it!
After 20 years in our 1865 Victorian home, we finally redid the last bathroom. We spent the big bucks on the brass shower riser with enclosure for our old clawfoot tub and it is really beautiful! We painted the walls a deep, rich red and the brass just gleams against them. It arrived promptly, in perfect condition, and our remodeler, who also installed the black and white octagon tile floor, had no difficulty putting it up. My only negative comment is that I think a second ceiling mount, in addition to the wall mount would make it more secure.
