    Beautifully Crafted Solid Build Tremendous Presenc Simple and elegant oval design. Engineered wood base. We got the neutral stained base and had it sanded and repainted with our cabinet colours. Very heavy piece, rightly so - after all it is cast iron. Needed 2 professional piano movers to haul it upstairs. Once installed it has tremendous presence. The tub itself is well constructed. The enamel coating is quite thick and has ably and effortlessly stood the wear from a toddler and his bath toys for nearly a year now. Cleaning is no problem but we avoid anything we think is too strong as we were advised, by many, of the risk of corrosion damage to the enamel. Yet it has been very easy to keep clean. Got the Cheviot Clawfoot Tub Filler (C7565BN) and they go together very well. The first piece that was delivered was badly scratched and had ugly gashes. But Vintage Tub & Cheviot replaced the damaged one pronto and all was well. I have bought 2 bathroom/toilet full of items from Vintage Tub from Canada and they have been exceptional in their customer service. And they are atleast 40% cheaper that any retailer here in Canada. And free shipping too!! June 4, 2012
