Disappointed
After a year, toilet seat started to splinter, then cracked and now has separated from one of the hinges. Very surprised and disappointed after reading such good reviews.

not solid oak
It has an oak veneer; it is NOT solid oak as the description leads one to believe. I returned the item at vendor's expense.

can't find better
This is the best toilet seat I have come across. It's one fine piece of wood and the screw tightening from the top is perfect, it's the kind of seat you need for American Standard toilets. The hinge did squeak, but it's nothing a drop of oil didn't cure.

Great Product!
This is an excellent product. It is sturdy, easy to install, looks good and fits perfectly.
It is by far the best wooden toilet seat I have owned. Highly recommended!

Great Seat
I looked a long time for a wooden seat that was durable. I tried several from the big chains, but everything was made cheap. I was happy to take a chance and try this site. Good product, with the fixtures I was looking for!

toilet seat
The brass hinge is corroded already and it squeeks and grinds as you lift it up and down. However, the seat is made good with an extra support pad undrneath the front of the seat. This happened within a month of installation.

not well made
The seat is your average wood seat but the hinge has a lot of play in it so the seat moves around. Also, the screws that attached the lid were stripped out so the lid came loose. I had to install larger screws. Not up to the same quality as the other fixtures I ordered. I could have gotten a better one at Lowe's.
